Loyola (LIM)

Loyola Institute for Ministry (LIM) is a renowned and groundbreaking, advanced-level ministry studies model where you can join others locally or online in a dedicated learning community to earn a Certificate in Ministry and Theology or a Master of Pastoral Studies or Master of Religious Education. Both graduate credtit and continuing education options are available.

The Extension Program with LIM is offered by the Archdiocese of Louisville Office of Faith Formation in collaboration with Loyola University New Orleans. In the Extension Program participants complete 6 courses in person in the Archdiocese of Louisville for the Certificate in Theology and Ministry.

Bachelor of Arts in Ministry and Theology (Online)

Loyola University New Orleans offers a fully online Bachelor of Arts in Ministry and Theology, integrating theology with practical applications informed by prayer and the study of the Bible, spirituality, and ethics. This program is designed to shape compassionate, faithful leaders who are prepared to make a difference in their communities.

Our flexible, 100% online theology and ministry degree is tailored for adult learners, with coursework that emphasizes real-world impact. The program explores ministry in both church settings and broader contexts—wherever people of faith live and work. Our online program combines asynchronous learning with synchronous community-building in real-time with peers to grow together in an academic learning community. Open to students of diverse faith backgrounds, the program fosters inspiring classroom experiences through shared reflection and spiritual growth.

You can transfer up to 90 credits from other institutions, allowing you to accelerate your degree completion.
