There are two upcoming formation and education opportunities from OLFE/Faith Formation.  These sessions are open to all persons; not just catechists.  They might especially interest anyone on a worship committee, music minister, other lay ministers and all of us in the pews.

Foundation of Liturgy: Thursday Oct. 9, 7-9:30pm at Our Lady of Lourdes.                     This session will be led by Berry Mudd, Liturgical Consultant, Office of Worship, Archdiocese of Louisville.  This session is a brief overview of the historical development of the liturgy, the basic principles of celebrating liturgy and the introduction/concluding rites of the Mass.

Overview of the Mass: Thursday Oct. 23, 7-9:30pm at Our Lady of Lourdes.                     This session will be led by Judy Bullock, Ed.D, Director of Worship, Archdiocese of Louisville.  This session focuses on the Mass, the “source and summit” of all the Church’s activity, as well as,  the meaning and purpose of the primary elements of the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
