The Leaven of Christ: That in All Things God May be Glorified!
In the Gospel of Luke we read: “To what can I compare the kingdom of God? It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into three measures of flour until all of it was leavened.” We are called and sent by Jesus to be leaven for a world in need of being raised up. The light we bear is that of the Gospel, the Word of God dwelling in us by the Holy Spirit. That Light is not meant to be buried or concealed, but to radiate and lift up a world darkened by division, violence and injustice. We will reflect on the practical means by which we fulfill our mission as Christians doing the work of Jesus to reconcile and heal, participating in his mission to create a new world conformed to God’s love. Fr. Adrian Burke, OSB, will lead the retreat. ($255 single, $425 double)
November 15-17, 2019
