| The pandemic has disrupted everything in our lives, including the celebration of liturgy. While vaccine trials look hopeful, we don’t yet know if we will be able to gather safely in large numbers in time for the Rite of Election in 2021 (February 17). What will this mean for our catechumens and their path to initiation? TeamRCIA will be discussing a “Plan B” for celebrating this crucial rite (and the optional Rite of Sending) if we are still under pandemic restrictions. They will talk about practical strategies for celebrating powerful, transformative liturgy while still staying safe. And while it’s important to have a backup plan, let’s pray we won’t have to use it. |
