The Church’s mission for evangelization demands we pay attention to the ways in which Catholic faith and identity is embodied in culture. What is culture? What attitudes and skills do pastoral ministers need for engaging with different cultures?

How can these competencies advance the conversion of individuals and cultures? This workshop will address these questions while encouraging participants to reflect and draw on their own experiences of culture and intercultural relations.

Celebrating the Liturgical Year: Praying with the Church and at Home

For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven” declares Ecclesiastes. The Church marks time by her prayer that comprises the liturgical year: celebrations of feasts and fasts, the numbered stretches of Sundays, and commemorating the saints. The start of the new liturgical year is a great opportunity to reflect on the prayer of the Church and the ways in which we can pray with the Church in our homes.
